Underwood-Memorial Hospital is seeking an Educator for our Emergency Department.

Our 46 bed ED sees about 60,000 pts annually.  We are a certified stroke center, are supported by 24 hour PCI for AMI, a designated psychiatric screening center, have in ED Radiology and CT, are the Medical Command Center for our Mobile Intensive Care Units, have a SANE suite and a separate secure behavioral health suite. 

The ED Educator is responsible and accountable for, along with the other members of ED Nursing Management, the education of the nursing staff regarding care provided in compliance with current standards, policies and procedures and regulatory requirements.  Identifies learning needs through staff needs assessments, new technology and practices, regulations, ED Management, staff requests, quality improvement, and relevant research.
